Default valve train noise??????

I know this has been brought up a hundred times, but mine ia a little different. I am running the T rex cam with hardened push rods and Patriot dual springs. I am running 60 LBs oil pressure untill hot then a constant 45, but when the engine gets up to the 160 mark it starts getting a tick in the pass side of the engine/ not a single noise when it first starts...
Any ideas???

Post your pushrod length measurement at zero lash, and your pushrod manufacturer & size so we know how much preload you are running.

Also, what oil brand and weight are you running?

I am running Mobile 1 synthetic, I am not sure of the PR length because I purchased the engine from a guy on line and did verify all of the parts where as he claimed but have no specifics...

I would try and make sure the correct push rod length is in the car. If the preload setting is off because of incorrect pushrod length you can get excessive valve train noise. If it sounds like its more localized to one side or one cylinder you might have a collapsed lifter.

A lot of your guys use German Castrol i believe, Aussies like Royal Purple, Penrite, Castrol. I use Syn Valvoline 5w40. search should show up a few oil threads. You may end up trying different brands till you find something that your engine likes.
5w40, 10w40, 10w60.
