Heads and intake?
I have an 01 SLP SS Camaro M6 with 27,000 miles on it. So far i have slp long tube headers, full exhaust, 373's, subframe connectors, traction bars, and a comp cam adv dur: 279-285 / dur at .50: 231-237 / lobe sep: 112.0 / valve lift: .589-.595. i dont have any forced induction plans in the near future so i want some nice cheap heads that will go good with the cam, and give me more hp. i make 381 rwhp DYNO TUNED with the setup i have now. ive heard that lq9 heads are a cheap route to go but i want some more input on what other people think. also, i didnt know if i upgraded my heads, if i would have to get a better intake as well or what? im not wanting to blow a bunch of money right now, so if a new intake isnt needed then that would be best. thanks!

I also agree a set of 243's would be a nice addition. What kind of budget are you working with? Texas Speed offers the stage 2.5 5.3 heads at an affordable price that would be nice as well!

keep your stock ls6 intake and get a ported TB.stock 241 heads are ok with a good cam .or look for some 243/799 heads for $400 or less.give them a valve job($150).look at a thunder racing cam pkg.call them for a cam recommendation.go to ls1howto.com for instructions and pics.
