I have a 2006 Corvette and I got a deal on a LS3 block with a LS1 style stroker assembly. Problem is the crank has the 24x crank trigger and I have the 58x LS2 trigger. I know LPE sells the 24x to 58x converter but will it work vise versa? If not what can I do other then buy a stand alone?

The motor is fully assembled so putting the 58x reluctor on the crank is not an option. I'd rather buy a stand alone before I went through all that trouble.

That will only work if you're willing to dump your FI and go with a carb. They can be used with FI, but will need the proper reluctor to function. You seem dead set against doing the obvious thing, changing the reluctor...

 

Yes I'd be willing to drop $1500 before I'd want to pull the motor back out and tear it down. It will cost me more to take it back apart due to down time at my shop, lift tied up, etc.

 

change the reluctor. thats your only option. it will cost you a hundred bucks or so to have the old one pressed off and the new one pressed on. ask me how I know.

Not in a C6 corvette. Different animal as far as the PCM, won't interchange and interface with the bus. Standalone will be a bitch and cost more than swapping wheels.

Sounds like it's going to have to go to the machine shop. Pull the crank and swap reluctor wheels.
