cam intake ceterline ?
cam intake ceterline ? ok i understand how the intake centerline of a cam can effect the peak power of a cam(meaning by advancing or retarding it). now my question is say if u have a 224 cam on a 113lsa and the intake centerline was 113 if u degree the cam when u install it at 109 degrees will that bring the ICL to 109? will it matter at all?

Re: cam intake ceterline ? If the LSA and the intake centerline are the same as in your example, then it has 0 advance ground in. Advancing it 4*s will put the ICL on a 109, just as you said.
Will it make a difference? I think it would. Lots of opinions here about advance and what effect it has. Most people will have 4*s ground into that cam. It is my opinion that this cam will have a little higher peak than one with advance, but would give up some power down the rpm scale.
