need to know ASAP couple oil questions. well its oil change time again and im going to try synthetic this time. i run 10w30 castrol gtx now and it hasnt let me down but im going to try a synthetic to see if i can cut down on oil consumption.
1. will swapping to synthetic be ok if its had dino oil for at least the past 20k miles?
2. what grade should i try to cut down on oil consumption? its still kinda cold here so i dont wanna go too heavy, 20's and 30's but itll get warmer and stay that way in less than a month.

Re: need to know ASAP couple oil questions. AMS OIL 10w 30. Don't try to stop oil consumption with thicker oil. People may have a favorite names or color bottle, bottom line Ams oil is the best! Alot of oils are very good but only one can be the best. Andy
