Default pushrod length and wipe pattern help

ok got the adjustable pushrod in with the exe. valve open i check the intake side. adjusted the lenght with calipers to 7.367 (.017 is for the cup height) so technically we will call it 7.350 ran the bolt down till the rocker was at 0 lash or no play between roller tip and the valve tip. next counted the turns till 22 ft lbs. which was between 3/4 and 1 1/8. did 2 exeaust and 2 intake with simmilar results. So i am going to guess my 7.4 push rod (took almost 3 turns from 0 lash to 22 ft lbs) were too long and the root cause of the rocker arms breaking. PLEASE also check out my wipe pics and let me know if they look good i still have to order pushrods so i will have a few days to dink with it. i was using the 7.4s with a g5x3 cam i belive then went to the samller cam i have now. but it was very loud in the valvetrain with the big cam.

can you run 1.8's with that cam? lifters bottoming out shouldnt break rockers only damage lifters. it would be the equivalent of running solid lifters. sounds like good ole PTV clearance to me...ask me how i know

your geometry looks real good. Sounds like the 7.350 has a better preload. I say order em up
