BTW, I've done this cam on a LS2 402 and the trq curve was mouthwatering
Thread resurrection please ? I too have read the reverse split threads and am very interested in cams at the moment. I intend to keep a LS6 intake and 241's for awhile but my exhaust is about to be MUCH better.

Have you ever considered a smaller El Torro ?
227/226 .614/.605 using the 13017R LSL lobe with the LXL exhaust lobe ?
PSI 1511ml springs could last a bit longer than on a XE-R exhaust lobe. How would you place the VE's , DCR and overlap ?

HVYMTL, how did it turn out ? I don't mean to hijack your thread but you asked the question I wanted to know.

Why not a 231/230 110lsa-1, LSL .617"/ LXL .609" ..?
or
230/230 110lsa-1, .609"/.573", LXL/Xtreme RPM high lift..?
or
226/226 110lsa-1, .605"/ .570", LXL/Xtreme RPM high lift..?

I think the point of the El Torro was to have excellent under the curve power without having to go with a smaller cam to get it when using stock gm 241 heads. I possible could be wrong but I'm sure P-Z will correct me if I am.

I don't think P-Z will be correcting you. He has not posted in a long time and I think something must have happened to him. I hope one of his friends here can contact him and let us know if he's ok.

I'm convinced I want to use PSI 1511ml springs and if I do get a 230/230 I want to get it made by Cam Motion but purchased through Colorado Speed. Kip Fabre said in one thread that if I tell him the durations at .006 and .050 he would grind it. I thought we were stuck at 55 lobe aggressiveness. I have hollow stem valves so I want the .006 durations to be 283/283. I think I want the lift to be .620 I and .612 E because I have 243 heads and plan a mild porting job but I'm not sure about that. Also thinking about 6 overlap instead of 8.
Do you think .620 / .612 is too much ?

FYI if you view his profile under "statistics" it say he was on tech this afternoon. Why not try sending him a pm and ask about his recommendation for a "El Toro" cam with using the Cam Motion lobes.
