what cam for PRC ls6 heads . hi
Hi all ,,
My problem that I have a holden commodore with ls1 , know I am going to upgrade the engine with PRC ls6 heads & 102 FAST / 102 TB . I am confused with the cam should I buy . I have the V3 cheater cam on with stock ls1 manifolds with 80” BBK TB and OTR sureflo intake 3.73 gear . is it going to work well if I used the same cam or not ..
Please help.

yes i have full exhaust system but stock ls1 manifolds but my question is would it be a result if i use the V3 cheater cam with the full CNC ls6 heads and 102 FAST maniflds /102mm TB. cas i dont want to drive a big hard aggrasive cma.
Your setup with the 102mm TB may be a little harder to tune, but should work well.

I cannot guess what your horsepower or torque numbers might be. My results were in a 2005 CTS-V that has parasitic driveline loss of almost 20%, which is much higher than others. On the other hand, I suspect my heads are better.

ok , on more thing , do think it is ok if i re uesed my Cometic gasket and what you think in 040" gasket . also what fule injectors you recommend to use know i have my friend's accel 30lbs . what do think of that
I am not sure which head gasket to use with that head. You might check with Texas Speed since they sell that head as well as head gaskets.

don't reuse the old head gaskets.what valve springs do you have on your current heads?how many miles?I would get bigger injectors ,at least 36 lbs.get the thinner head gaskets if you have enough PTV clearence,and it won't screw up your valve train geometry .read up on lifter preload to figure out the correct length for push rods.or ask TSP which parts you need. .do you have stock rocker arms?get comp trunnion bearings for them.

I installed the 040 cometic head gasket 4 month ago for I think 2000KM .My new lS6 heads 64cc Chambers comes with Dual Valve Springs 650” as same as the valve Springs on my old setup from TSP onmy ls1 heads.
Yes I have stock rocker arms and I think I will use my old setup push rods 7.400” from trick flow.
so what do you think .
