Default lifter preload question

Ok guys I'm having some random noisy lifter ticks

I've got a lunati cam and springs with stock rockers and pushrods

From zero lash I have a little less the 3/4 aturn on the rocker arm bolt till full tourqe is this enough? Too much?

The accepted range is from 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 turns.

At least 0.25" longer -

"For an example, if you use a 7.400" pushrod and come up with 3/4 of a turn, you will need at least .025" longer pushrod to get into range. If you end up with 2 1/4 turns, you will need one .025" shorter..."

The 7.425's gave me exactly 1.5 turns preload

Most of the noise is gone still have one on the driver side giving some noise I think its a lifter issue

20-25 idle before, 40 to 3k, sometimes would go 60 but rare occasion with 10w40 and lucas

Now I have 35 at idle and 60+ at 3k with 5w30 with nothing added
