Default Sbc solid roller lifter

I have a few sets of sbc solid roller link bar lifters can they be used in solid roller lsx? Thanks Rick

If I am correct, 1987 and up are all interchangable

Take a look at the lifter spacing on SBCs versus LSx and ask yourself if a link-bar lifter would interchange.

To the OP: no.

Hey man we all make mistakes...it took me about 70 miles to kill my engine....I learned...but now I have a bigger better setup do I'm kinda glad I screwed up on the last one lol.

SBC = 1.560 bore centerline
LSx = 1.827 bore centerline

The ls7 lifter is supposed to be a direct replacement for 1987 and up, so in this case the link bar makes the swap s no go?

The LS7 lifter is a direct replacement but uses factory trays, which already has the correct bore spacing. With the link-bar or tie-bar, the bar establishes the correct bore spacing for the lifter pair.

Don't have both pair of solids readily available but here's some Hyd's. SBC on the left, LSx on the right.

thanks for all the great replies. my sets were over at a buddies so I couldnt even try the fittment so I just asked. hell i put sbc hyd flat tappets in a kohler v twin they fit and worked fine. just never know
