Also, is there anything I can do to the ls1 intake manifold to make it flow better?

28x10.50's may need some fender rolling and bfh work. I dont think a mini-tub would be necessary...

Ok. Also, what's different about the ls6 intake, because aren't that and the ls1 tb's the same size?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have ls1 heads with titanium valve springs (have to check what they are exactly) that I got with the engine. Would those be better, and would a big cam still clear?

Well I just bought an ms4 from another member here. Like I said, I have a spare set of ls1 heads I got with the engine, and they have titanium springs. So, we'll measure them and if they are strong enough for this cam then I'd like to use those heads so I don't have to swap all the parts. We'll more than likely check clearances anyway, but will the valves clear the piston with these heads and an ms4?

What year is the LS1 intake you bought? I ask because if 2001/2002 they are basically an LS6 intake with different mounting holes.

You would be leaving well over 20 at the wheels on the table with the LS1 intake, toss it and buy a used FAST

Well unfortunately I don't have bags of quarters stashed away. I'm trying to keep this as low cost as possible.

My advice before you touch your car is to study and learn what it takes to achieve the goal you wish to do.
You are just throwing mismatched parts together and that will not make you fast at the track.
Learn the concept, talk to old dogs and establish a budget and realistic plan.
Otherwise I'm sorry to say that you'll be just talking and doing nothing.

Could you elaborate on what you mean exactly?

Meaning an MS4 cam in your car is going to want to peak at around 6700-6900 and carry out to at least 7200.

An LS1 intake will only pull to 6000rpm before it falls off leaving you with a high duration tight lsa cam that wants to scream but is getting cut off before it even starts making its steam really.

Ok, gotcha. Well I guess I'll have to live with that part for now, or maybe I can pick up a cheap ls6 intake along the way.

Also, are the injectors and fuel rails different on the ls6?
