Default head porting question

Yes I know this is NOT a Dodge forum, but you guys have always pointed me in the right direction before, so here it goes.

Working on my dad's 98 Dodge RAM 318 magnum with its wopping 200 hp.

220,000 mile tear down due to a blown headgasket and looking at the tiny little ports on the heads......could I make alittle more power by porting these heads, or by opening up the runners would it lose torque? I was thinking of just going in and port matching the intake and exhaust.

Any pointers or thoughts?

I would clean the up real well but probably not worth porting might at best make an extra 10 hp could put some headers on it while its apart

Already have a set of Pacesetter shorties with their massive lol 1.5 " primaries. If I get a bump in power out of this old dog I'll be very happy, but is really like to get alittle more mpg out of her and not lose any low end. It's his daily driver, plus he cuts/jails a lot of wood, so it gets used as a truck a lot too.
