ticking????
Ok I'm pretty much new here. I have an '01 SS with some small bolt-on stuff and SLP LT headers. Ihave this ticking noise on the passeger side of my motor only. I have no idea what it could be. Any help is appriciated.
p.s. I dont know if it has anything to do with it, but its been 150 miles since header install and all of a sudden my SES light came on. Car seems like its running fine. Can't scan it yet.

ticking sounds are typically caused by one or more of the following:
1. AIR check-valves, these are those tubes bolted onto your headers. After header installs, they are notorious for starting ticking noises.
2. bent pushrod
3. broken valvespring
4. exhaust leak
SES light is most likely O2 sensor related. Are you using O2 simulators, or were the O2 sensors relocated further back on the system? Sometimes they act up.
