For 99-2001:
Intake vavle stem seal kit (8)- 12533586
Exhaust vavle stem seal kit (8)- 12457652
I would also get a few extra keepers, they are a BITCH!!! I lost about 3 during my install. I think the part number is 10166345 for the keepers...

If you use the 02 LS1/LS6 and up V/G seals they incorporate the spring seat and seal in one piece and are the same thickness as the seats that come in the hot cam kit. (.045") there is no special tool needed to properly set the seal height because you just put them on and the spring pressure installs them all the way. They are maybe only a few bucks more than the 97-01 seals. That's all I use on single spring installs no matter what year the car is. Make sure you remove the stock spring seat which measures .035" thick BTW)
02 INTAKE V/G SEALS – 12482063
02 EXHAUST V/G SEALS – 12482062

Dont attack me, the stock springs will work but they will suck(some people want the cheapest alternative) and i said if THEY COME WITH THE KIT THEN GET THE KIT(thats for jrp)o well i dont care anyways because i would not waste the fu**ing time putting in worthless GM hot cam that is overpriced for the performance anyways!

I hope you meant the "stock" LS6 springs that come with the Hotcam kit.

make a post asking how many people have used the stock springs on anthing other then the stock cam. you'll find nil next tp none.
going by your cheap alternative
hot cam + stock springs = , which then in turn = $$$$$ for some new heads and/or short block
hot cam + ls6 springs = 400 bucks

no need to hate those of us who have hotcams or want them. we all have our own opinions and what not about cams. i have many many reasons why im going with the gm hotcam and not someone elses cam. i've done a lot of research and this is the cam that best suits my driving needs as a whole. so thats that. like i said before, using the stock springs would be stupid. the only reason you would use the stock springs is if you were to lazy to put the ls6 springs in that come with the cam.

I do have cam envy but im looking for one that will lay down 400 at the wheels(the big heavy ones in the back) If i wanted lighter rims i would have bought would have bought them but the ones i bought suit my driving needs as steelsnow said. plus they look great. I do have a question though , is it possible to break 400rwhp with any of the hotcams? Also i heard that a GM cam wont void youre warranty but an aftermarket one will(correct me if im wrong) anyways sorry if i bashed on anyone, i need to save my sh*t talk for mustangs.

like ^ said its possible but not likely to hit 400rwhp cam only with the hot cam. add some nice heads and you'd hit it. but i'd just start off with a bigger cam to begin with, 224+ duration (tr224, FM4, tsp231, ect). as far as the warranty its only honored if a dealership installs the cam and there is some kind of documentation.

Everyone keeps focusing on PEAK HP. Hotcam makes a lot of torque for the size cam it is. IMO it is an awsome cam for the street (daily driver). The power is were you really use it, and with it's low-lift you can put 100,000 miles on it and never change springs.

i bet the dealer would charge you a feeking arm and a leg to intall springs and a cam, lol. i should call them and get a price so everyone here can laugh at it!! well i called and left a message but the cam with the springs and retainers was $572. i can only imagine how much the freeking spring and cam install will be!! stay tuned...
