I was actually the owner of the very first all-bore 382ci LS1 ever made. MTI built it for me about two years ago for my Formula. That was THE best all-around daily-drivable setup I've ever owned.
I started out with a 221/221 cam, and it sounded like a stock engine, pulled 455 rwhp 440 ft-lbs. Then I swapped in a 232/232 cam and a 12-bolt rearend and pulled the same numbers. The car ran 11.0 @ 125 at full weight (3650 lbs), 6-speed. There are some videos of the runs on my site if you click the blue Formula in my signature.
I would suggest an MTI R1 cam, and ported LS6 heads on your 387ci setup. Those combos are pushing 475-490 rwhp with excellent drivability.

I have a darton intergrated wet-sleeve 388 all-bore (its actually technically a 390 now). I had some major problems with the initial setup, but not because of the block, because of the install. It seems to be fixed now, in my limited driving because of winter. I ran a MTI R1 (232/236) which seemed like near stock. Very streetable motorwise, only my clutch and drivetrain were a pain in the neck. I then switched to a lunati 242/242, which also seems pretty tame, aside from some tuning issues that occassionally cause it to stall. The cars best numbers are in my sig.

Thank You Nine Ball and Ezss!!! It sounds like it would probably be a good way to go and get descent driveability and be a quick car at the same time.
Whitch cam would you guy's suggest???

I have a 382 All Bore, ARE dry sleeve motor. It's awesome. The engine revs quickly and makes great power. I love driving it on the street. However, the old addage that there is no replacement for displacement is always lingering until you run out of room to go bigger!
