Opinions needed - comparison between 10-bolt, 12-bolt, and 9" on the dyno

Dont forget to factor in the weight diffrence in the Yolks, axles, u-joints, and most of us Steel HD Driveshaft's. I would Expect possibly 8-10RWHP loss on a 33spline 12 bolt w/posi and HD Steel driveshaft. But this is 100% Guess.

Here's my 9 inch setup and weight. Moser 9" housing with 31 spline axles w/ABS, Strange aluminum case, billet aluminum pinion support, billet aluminum 1350 yoke, Powertrax locker, 28 spline pinion, 3.89 gear. That combo weighs in at 178lbs. Don't remember what the 10bolt weighed. I can tell a fractional power loss, but the gears make up for that. I was at 430 rwhp last dyno with the 10 bolt. I'll be going back to the same dyno next week, and I'll note the difference. BTW - Good thread. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
