Why LS7 lifters?
if your not planning to swap cams, i would at least recommend a ls6 or Gt2-3 cam. they are cheap and idle, drive, and sound just like stock only a bit more power, imo worth changing. you don't even need to get a tune for it.
While a tune may not strictly be necessary, both cams tend to yield better driveability and performance with tuning in the VE, spark advance, and PE tables.
The benefit of the LS6 cam is that the Corvette Z06 tables can be copied...GM spent a lot of time and money getting them dialed in at a reasonable compromise between max performance and long-term reliability.
