Default Update on Patriot situation...Everyone please read!

Tony & John know about this post...can we sticky it here temporarily and then go to feedback in a couple days? I just want to be sure everyone gets to see it. Thanks!

I was contacted today by Terry from Patriot. I think its only fair for me to share this story as well.

Ive known all along that this situation was above, and out of, Terrys hands...and was solely the decision of the owner. The lack of communication was a problem for me obviously, but may have also been because of the owner. Anyway...
Terry called me and let me know that he is willing to refund the full purchase price of my heads and shipping charges. He felt bad that he didnt agree to that right away when I asked...but thats hindsight. Im glad he called to offer this. Am I happy? Im content with this for now. At least it helps me cover some of the costs ive endured.

If youve read my posts...Im not angry with Terry. Im just angry at how it has been handled thus far (getting better). In other posts I havent led anyone away from Patriot. Ive had a million PMs over the past two days of people being scared of the orders they have already placed, alredy shipped, or about to order. Ive told you all, and all of them...that I am sure my incident is isolated...but again, I told them of my disgust of how it was treated.

I dont hate Terry. I dont hate Patriot. My post wasnt to bash, but to inform. Unfortunately the post I am sure...hurt both Terry...and me. At least based on the hate mail ive recieved thats my impression. Oh well.

For now, Terry has come to me with something I asked for..my $ back...and I appreciate that. I know that the rest of it is not in his hands...Its up to the owner, always has been. Its just unfortunate he (Hugh/owner) isnt the one that has to put up with this mess.

Id like to add....

Another vendor from the board has stepped up. Although I have never purchased from them before (yet) they offered me cost on any parts I need for my rebuild, etc. That is one HELLUVA thing to do. Im so impressed. Id love to scream out there name for all of you to hear...but not so sure I should. I am sure they'll read this though and he can feel free to tell you all who they are.

This is the 2nd site vendor that has asked if they can help. There was another from someone that really doesnt have what I need...but they still offered. God I love this site!!

A bad situation all the way around. Thanks for keeping a level head, being as objective as you can, and posting updates so we can keep an informed eye on the situation. You probably handled it better than most would have Todd. Kudos man. Good luck with rebuilding what's been lost.

That's what should be expected from them. It's a shame it took all of this to get the proper remedy, though.

Terry never said he wouldnt agree to replace the heads. I asked for help considering how early they failed and thats what brought forth the drama. Unfortunately Terrys outlook & his bosses differ.

Glad things worked out for me?? They really didnt...but this softens the blow.

You kept your cool and only did what you had to and I respect that. Can't say I would have been as calm though, but seems like things are getting better and they only can.

I am glad to hear that you are in the beginning stages of getting this resolved as much as possible anyway.

I am very impressed about the helpful vendors

I think it would be sponsors that are well know for great customers service...sponsors that have OWNERS that are accessible by the members of this board too. Owners that talk on the phone and read their own email. I'll bet I bought stuff from at least one of them and probably both. You know the kind of sponsor you buy from again and again...

Sorry to hear for your lose and happy that youve finally come to some sort of settlement for the time being. Im happy to hear other sponsors not even involved showing support and help in your time of need. Good luck in your further endeavors.

Since it doesn't look like Hugh will allow Terry at PP to do the right thing...here is a link to an LS6 short block that's for sale.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144989

Watch the link - it leads to the Southern forum...and we define flame, bash, cuss & spit on the side walk. Mostly new visitors and vendors w/bad customer service but sometimes each other too.
