Default SLP Rocker Arms

I was just wondering if the SLP Rocker Arms (1.85's) would be worth the money. I am getting ready for a 230/224-111 cam kit from thunder racing. Will these make better HP with the cam/springs/rods?????

Thanx Steve

guess you didnt read the disclaimer thats stated by thunder saying its not recommend to use 1.8 rockers with there cams.

and go to the dyno forum, 4mula just installed a set of slp 1.85 rockers and gained a whopping 8rwhp w/ his stock cam.

thats on a stock cam, would it be better with my cam kit. cuz thunder racing said u didnt "need" them with their cam. which makes it optional, would it increase more than 8hp with my cam??

They don't recommend them since they have aggressive cam lobes. This exagerates the cam profile and is even more harsh on the valvesprings. If you want to break and valvespring, that is up to you. I would stay away from increased rocker ratios when replacing the cam and keep the lift in the cam only. You don't see guys using these rockers that run 11's and 10's.

Yeah dude (onefast99ss), read the first part of what jrp said...

Thunder Racing doesn't recommend roller rockers with a larger ratio than stock because of the fast ramp rates and high lift... if you put 1.85 roller rockers on there, your springs and your pocketbook would be SOL real fast.
