Default Anyone running stock pushrods with a .590 lift cam?

I have a FMS 226/226 .590/.590 114lsa comming I plan on using the stock pushrods. Will they hold up? I feel ok about it because i would rather bent a pushrod than float a valve. Im also using comp 918's. Has Anyone done this?

i ran 918s and stock pushrods on my 224 581 112 cam for 5k miles absolutely no probs.....dynoed 396 cam only with stock pulley and stock tbody.....added heads still had stock pushrods and made 420rwhp through 12 bolt with stock pushrods in place....upgraded cams to a 230 232 591 595 113+2 and threw a set of hardened ones in just for the hell of it, i had them laying around....all of my friends and their H/C LS1s are for the most part using stock pushrods

I'd say you will be ok with stock pushrods with an auto. But if it was an M6 I wouldn't even think about it. BTW is that a FM4 cam? Just wondering cause mine is an FM4 and the lift is only .575

Its a custom grind from FMS. I got a great deal onit in the FS section. I hope it puts out the same #'s an F4 does.I call it an f4 because its very close.

I had stock PR's with a FMS F11 for a short while with no problems and changed to hardended PR's when I added a set of Harland Sharp rockers and I have a M6, there are people that are adament on both sides of the fence on this issue both sides have points. Like most things with engines a few people will have no problems with stock PR's and a few will, go with what makes you feel confortable.
