Default g5x3 or tru torque level 4 cam

Hey wussup guys i have a question about which cam to pic out of these 2. G5x3 cam or thunder racing tru torque cam 227/239 cam. The heads that will be used are afr 205 heads (thinking about having milled) the motor is going to be a forged lq9 so no flycutting is needed. I have a yank 4000 stall and 4.10 gears stock 4l60e. I love the high hpm power but also love down low torque but by me being an auto i was thinkjng i would never see under 4000 rpms once i get on it so whats the use of a smaller cam. What do you guys think.

G5X3 and AFR heads has been executed many times...proven to work great! With your stall and gears I don't think you will be missing any torque!

If youre gonna stick to an off the shelf cam then id go with the G5X3 if those are the 2 you have in mind. But if i was doing a forged motor with decent heads id opt for a custom grind based on the mods you have. If youre gonna do it, do it once!

I cant argue with that. Thats why i was leaning towsrds the g5x3 because i didnt want to go back in there and change it out because i wanted to go bigger but I will consider a custom ground cam either from pat g or from tony at afr to match the heads. Also the car will be running a direct port 200 shot.

Most definitely talk to pat g or tony about a cam if youre gonna spray a 200 hit on it.

Will do. It sucks that fast stopped making the 92's because i will definately buy one because in my opinion the 102 is too big for stock cubes. But i do have a 6.0 that will be bore to be a 370 but even that might even still be too small.
