Default Used Prc double valve springs results

So I pulled off my valve springs today and had them measured and I was pretty shocked in the results... Here are the specs I got online...
.
PRC .650" Lift Spring specs:
Closed Spring Pressure: 145lbs @ 1.800"
Open Spring Pressure: 450lbs @ 1.150"
Maximum Spring Lift: .650"
Coil Bind 1.080"
Spring Rate: 469lbs/in

Here's what the machine came up with...

Closed pressure was 120lbs, Open pressure was only 325lbs

Now I'm not sure how many miles are on these, they were already installed when I purchased the car but does that seem normal for worn springs? I cant imagine them having more then 20-30k on them. EDIT: The springs have atleast 20k on them. I found an old forsale thread of the car, it was listed with 122k and had the same prc's and now has 143k.

I've always been told the life of a spring (of course depending on the cam aggressiveness) is around 35k miles. I think your numbers show why. What the specs of the cam?

What height were they measured at, and how were they measured. I will bet my lunch money the retainer was not installed on the spring for the test, which would make those numbers very feasible.

When I acquired the car it had an f13 cam in it, it now has a torquer v3 that was installed a little over 3k ago.

Unfortunately I had a phone call and didn't catch the whole ordeal, I gave him the above specs but they were tested without the retainers I know that much. He removed the springs and tested them on some sort of pressure tester he had mounted on his bench.

The shop HAS to check with retainer on to get any of that inner spring's pressure. If they want to check at 1.800", have the retainer sitting on top of the spring, and put the height of the retainer at 1.850" (puts the spring at 1.800" due to 0.050" retainer thickness).

After that your numbers will be great

That would be great to see what you get because I plan on using the same springs when I order my cam kit.
