I'm curious I think mine were 7.400" by recommendation (yes I didn't measure that was a few years ago when I was new to engine building) and have been for about 15k miles on my G5x2... car runs great; am I giving up HP?
I'm planning on sending a set of 243 heads to AI and getting them ported this winter, although I'll probably go with a different cam so I guess I might as well wait and get pushrods then.
7.4" so far have been fine unless I'm giving up some HP which I have no clue.

People like to say things like that on the internet to sound important or knowledgeable.
Most people on this site are weekend warriors. They don't have the luxury of having their car down for a week waiting on shipping. Call LG. They'll tell you if you should measure. I have a feeling they'll tell you a number.. and not to buy a pushrod length checker.
