Default Whats wrong with this picture?

I am building an LS based kit car for a customer who is supplying all the parts. Something is wrong with this combo and cant figure out which part is wrong. Any help? the injectors seem to be short by almost an inch
Thanks Mike

Looks to me like someone swapped out a truck intake for a car intake and didn't change the injectors over to the longer car style.

I believe you need the EV1 injectors witch is the (old) LS1 style that is longer or Bosch style , the one that you have is the EV6 (new) style witch is shorter , Fast make a adapter for them to extend them, and see if the injector harness that you have works with the EV6 injectors. If it dont, Fast make a adapter harness for them . Or just get a set of the EV1 style injectors and be done with it.

Call John at FIC and he can get you fixed back up ASAP. You have the wrong injector for that intake/injector fuel rail setup, and like stated before maybe even the wrong wireing harness setup for those injectors. FIC can sell you the addaptors if your wiring harness uses those injectors or just the correct injectors if the harness is not correct for those injectors. As said before you could put wiring addaptors and injector addaptors on it but why dump that much money in it when you could just get the correct injector for the combo from FIC. They are a sponsor here too.

I'd recommend calling FIC as well. They can only help.

Clearly the injectors installed are shorter than stock... Time to straighten out the fuel rail legs, rebend them with the elbows closer to the rails themselves and redrill the holes to mount. Will take you twenty minutes then back on the road...

Side note... do you really wanna block off the heads coolant flow on the front?

I see the flow path in the back, but normally the crossover tube is on the front...

Its a kit car and the flipped manifold is a common practice on tight engine compartments.

I know the truck 4.8 and 5.3's have a cross-over tube that crosses over in front and back with a tube running front to back connecting fr and bk .

You have the wrong injectors for that intake and fuel rail combo. If all you need is the stock sized injector then get a set of LS1 stock injectors. But there again you will need to check to see what the injector wiring harness conectors are. If you have the correct wiring harness connectors for those injectors then order and install a set of aftermarket fuel rails. You can not just shorten the legs on that fuel rail because the cross over tube will hit the manifold.
