Default will i get piston slap?

im going to be putting in a dome style piston in my ls1 and put on a set of 243 heads with a .71 head felpro gasket. if i need to post any other mods please let me know.

Best way to find out is to check your ptv clearance with some clay. what are the specs on the cam and pistons?

The term "piston slap" has to do with piston skirt height and piston to cylinder clearance; and the "slapping" of the piston's skit on the cylinder wall which makes the audible noise. Not sure what the OP is after here.

Yeah I my fault I thought he was refering to a ptv situation, piston slap would be as you described.

I think OP should step away from "old school" practices and research more on LS platforms.
Why? Because unless this is a very specific application, we do not practice "dome pistons" for street and thick gaskets. They surely contradict each other and are more prone to detonation.
