thanks for the info would there be any disadvantage going with the 4.125 tray even if i dont need one that large?

I cannot intelligently speak to that one. We typically just space the stock tray down with washers and adjust the pickup to pan clearance accordingly. For $40-50 I just can't make myself run the GM windage tray when less than $1 worth of washers and an extra few minutes of time to adjust the clearance takes care of the problem.
