Default Once again another compression question....

Ok so ling story short i have a PTV issue with the stocl ls1 so its now gone. Buying a motor from a tech member and he said compression should be around 12:1 compression its a 408 iron block 65cc chamber heads with daimond flat tops with if im not mistaken an .049 gasket will this be streetable I WILL BE DRIVING THE CAR EVERYDAY. Ive done some research that with a proper tune it is possible but i dont want any problems later down the road. I do plan on spraying the motor. Will this be safe a pump gas 93 octane. I've always heard to keep it around 11:1 my head guy said i will probably have problems running this comp on the street daily.

Piston Specs:
Bore: 4.030
Stroke: 4.00
Comp Height: 1.125
Efffective Vol: -1.8cc

Cam 293 LR 243/251 624/624 114*

Thanks
Jose

With the right tune yes it can be street driven. Mines 11.8 I was driving it for a long time on the street. Cheap gas could cause dentnation tho

with a cam that big, you could probably skate by, just use good, name brand 93 octane, and keep a bottle of octane booster on hand in case it starts rattling.

I considering on tossing this cam and having one custom ground would this be a good idea? Also getting rid of my rapTR. Should i go a little thicker head gasket as well?

Have You considered adding a water inj system ? Im not real knowledgeable about those but I believe they also work great at cooling down N/A engines allowing higher compression and/or timing advance without pre-ignition which equates to more HP . Similar to a cold air intake but even more cooling .
