OP: my cat makes 740 / 760. You're gonna need a standard built t56. Many sponsors sell them. Base package is good for 700 hp. As for a clutch, do not and I repeat do NOT waste money on a mcleod. I've owned a 500hp 427, 600 wheel 454, and a 750 HP turbo car. and all with Mc leods at one point that completely failed. Get a tex twin and never look back.
No, I haven't drivin with a mcleod yet, I just bought one and its going in my car in a few weeks. I said they are nice meaning I have heard good things about them.. That was MY personal recommendation. Douche bag.

I was over 700RWHP on my 6-speed but I bent the output shaft once and I lost a coupld of teeth from one of the gears. My clutch held up like a **** without issues. It was a McCleod Twin disk. Never gave up and never failed to grab. I think a synchro went bad on it also but new ones were put in anyway when I had it rebuilt.
LIES, Ive had 4 fail on me! 2 installed by reputable shops. either you have extremely good luck, or mine is beyond terrible.

My tex twin too a **** ton of beating with et streets and never skipped a beat. the mcleod wound slip at 14psi in 4th gear. Pos...

OP didn't ask for opinions, did he? . Tex twin or go home! OWNING multiple of both clutches on multiple high power setups, this is what works. Im not guessing or giving advise based on speculation.

Just sayin'!

Ps, thanks for the kind words at the end of your post.

4th gear at 4500 rpm, so.. about 750 rwtq.

Mc Leod master, thats all I use.

And I've had the old style with the 3 prong diafram, and the newer style with the full diafram, both failed.

I tried both. They should both handle the power I was making. 740 / 760

OP won't mind when you come back here and tell me I was right.

Get what you can for your RST and go tex twin, if you're gonna be making more power then me, this is logical. I'm not blowing smoke out my *** 'cause I have some vendetta against Mc Leod, but when my new clutch cant even be dyno'd at the shop cause it slips in 4th gear on every pull, there's a problem.

Default 700 hp

I have the original 3 prong McLeod twin and it's as smooth as a stock clutch. I have never been able to get it to slip with my set up. It came with an aluminum flywheel and master cylinder. The master cylinder wouldn't work out of the box just like a ton of other people on here. I rebuilt it with a wilwood kit and havn't had a problem since. Get a tick if you buy one. Even roll racing a 700rwhp nitrous car on the street with a stick will be a handfull. How much power do you have now? A 200 shot is pretty violent when it hits, a lot more so in a manual with no torque converter to cushion it.
