Default LQ9 Build Help??!!

I am currently in the process of getting a list together of all the parts that I will need for this build. Just asking for a little input as to what parts, problems or ideas any of you might have with this build.

I'm starting off with a 6.0 LQ9 shortblock. I'll be running this in a 1989 IROC with T56, 3.73 gears

Is anyone running a TSP V3 cam (lobe seperation?) with this block? What heads, lifters, pushrods, springs, timing gears, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm overwhelmed with trying to figure out what parts I need and where to find all of them.
THANKS!

Well it depends on your budget really. My 6.0 setup consists of stock crank, ARP head and main studs, callies compstar rods, wisco pistons, milled 243 heads, ls6 intake and bouble roller timing chain. The cam your talking about on a 112 lsa would rip in a iroc! What kind of heads are u looking at?

Hoping to get around 430-450hp.....after reading up on a lot of posts, this seems like a fairly easy accomplishment with a head and cam package and bolt ons.
I'm tossing around the idea of either getting a set of stock 241, 243 heads or spending the money and just getting the head and cam package from TSP (PRC Stg. 2.5, 5.3 heads)
Thanks for the advice!

your CR would be really high with 5.3 heads on a LQ9 shortblock. some good gas would be needed. 317s have a 72cc chamber and on an LQ9 make it a 10.5.1 motor. so with a 61cc head it would be in the 11.1.1 range for sure. just letting you know if you didnt already.

edit- 61cc head, .051 gasket, and LQ9 flat tops would be 11.4.1

Why not the tried and true method? LS3/L92 heads/intake and a small to moderate cam

If you are looking for a dyno queen; yes; but for performance 243s ported are still hard to beat for the $$.
