Ok so swap the pushrods for a pushrod length checker, and order pushrods after I know the length. Does everything else look good? I probably should've added this is going on a car with 111k miles on it.

so far so good. the cam im using is in my sig. should pass smog through stock exhaust manifolds. its pretty close to the cheatr.

make sure you get gm MLS head gaskets. maybe call and talk to shane at TR so he can walk you through everything and make sure your covered

Just for reference,

I did the TR224 on 114LSA, PRC stage 1 milled .02" through an aluminum intake at 380rwhp and 375 tq. Decent numbers as long as the TR224 passes as suggested.

IMO, get the stock heads milled and ported or buy some AFR 210's. You can still fail the visual even with gm heads if they check the numbers and the don't come up for your yr & model. I'd also would go with a cam that has more exhaust than intake duration, like the Tick Performance Emissions Friendly Cam or the Thunder Racing CheaTR v.3 or TR TRuTorq Level 1, and there's also the Lunati Voodoo # 20540713. http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...1-ls6-engines/

Thanks for the recommendation buddy!

I think you would really like our cam OP. Although it hasn't been used in quite as many applications as the CheatR cam has, @.050 the cams are nearly the same. I don't know if the CheatR cam has any advance ground into the cam or if they recommend advancing it, but mine does have 2 degrees ground into the camshaft itself.

Martin, I think your cam would work good for his application, plus those lobe should be fairly quiet adding to the stealth factor. I do think he could probably go with a little less exhaust duration if he goes with higher flowing heads, a good example would be a 218/226 115lsa+2 which would still have -8*OL and have slightly better low-end.

The lobes that cam uses were designed by Pat G and Billy Godbold to be the quietest lobe comp has produced to date specifically for the LS platform.

A.K.A.- LXL lobes....

This right here. If you want to keep exhaust manifolds then do this, the more exhaust will help with the stock manifold. But if your not scared of a little header job every two years like I do then go with something more towards the cheater 224 cam. I got a custom grind cam 222/226 and I pass California smog with flying colors (when I swap my headers ) and I run low 11's all day at the track, cruise it on the weekends and get 23 mpg
