Default Need help with possible new engine (LS6 swap)

To make a long story short, my LS1 has a loud metallic knock that gets faster as the rpm increases. It's definitly coming from under the car around the middle of the oil pan. This started a few days ago. We're thinking its a bent rod. Rather than a rebuild, if even possible, we're thinking about a LS6 long block OR complete crate engine.

My questions: Can I reuse my flex plate and harmonic balancer? The new motor will already have a F-body oil pan.

Are all the connections (sensor, etc.) the same and in the same location(s)? Of course on a long box I would reuse coil packs, intake, etc.

Are there any issues that I should be aware of? I wouldn't think tuning would be needed, although it will be done eventually. I could care less about emission crap, EGR, AIR, etc., that's no issue.

Thanks,
Kurt
