Glad you can get a stall that will help you tremendoulsy. IMO if the only cam you are allowed to get is an LS6 cam don't bother not worth the money for the amount of power gained. You could however just lie about what cam you get.

01 or 02+ ls6 cam.

if it is the 01 you are going to need cam and springs.
if it is the 02 you are going to need cam, springs, and longer pushrods to compensate for the longer valves in the 02+ head.

at that point might as well pay an extra 150 bucks over the average price of a LS6 and get a 224R.

Yeah I gotcha.

And I might get the converter first and wait on the cam.

I don't think a 12.9 is hard to achieve with his mods and a stal should easily take him to low 12s. Op what kind of gears do you have outbac? If you have 2.73s then I'd do a 3200 stall of you have 3.23s or bigger 3600 all day with some drs to go with it. In the long run it will be faster than just a cam/stall with street tires lol

He's 15, has never drag raced before. Several of us asked him in another thread to post up a timeslip if he ran a 12 anything because lets be honest, you're probably not going to run a 12 in a bolt on F body if you have never raced before. I'll happily eat crow if he can prove it. The lack of a trap speed or any other details makes me think BS as well.

If you look at my other posts, I ran a 12.9 in good air with my bolt ons and drag radials. After that I had a 13.0s the rest of the night. Yes I am 15. And thats damn good for a 15 year old.
