Wont the new LS2 blocks be able to handle more bore than a LS1??

I'm pretty sure the LS2 block is a 4.00" bore versus the LS1's 3.90" bore. Maybe someone else can verify.

I believe the LS2 has the same bore and stroke as the LQ4/LQ9.

The new LS2 block is a 4.00 bore, but they are still using cast in place liners. I wouldn't expect to be able to do much more than a clean up hone on the bores.

Nice thing is that with a 4" stroke crank you'll get 402ci vs the 382 in an LS1 without touching the sleeves.
