Default Strongest beehive springs

I know 918's are good to .600 lift but is there a stronger spring that can be used with and stock retainers?? My new cam is .590 lift and i have no money left, but im not totally confident with my 918's.I would feel better if i had alittle more spring. I cant afford spring and retainers. Thanks Tony

918's will work perfectly fine with .590 lift. I've seen those springs handle .605 lift just fine...A lot of people get caught up in the hype and don't realize the durability of the single 918....Be sure to give them proper warm up before beating on them, and change about every 20-25K and you'll be fine..

I spoke to someone at Isky and they currently have a similiar beehive spring made by PSI, the same supplier that coils their Gold series spring. The parts number is a 195-D.

195-D have broke a fw times Ive seen.

We used 918s on the cam we ran that made 420 rwhp on stock heads. Peaked at 6300 rpm, .605/.610 lift

How can they have broken, they informed me they just recieved them a couple of weeks ago? Perhaps you are thinking of a 295-D, thier single spring with a dampner, which I have been told have only broken because of premature bind of the dampner when people use them with the stock spring base or when customers have removed or modified the dampner.

Default beehive...

Look into CC# 26595. It's what I run in my Impala. Will EASILY take .750 lift at the installed height. 150lbs on the seat, 370 over the nose. 1.589dia.

Doubt you can use the stock retainer though...just throwing another option out there for ya.
