Default ls7 vs LS1 lifters

I have been reading alot about these lifters and some places I see the LS7 are alot better and other places I hear that they are nearly identical in every way that matters. I know there is some talk about length but Im more talking about durability.
Are the LS7's much better or just a replacement for our aging lifters?
Will they stand up to these springs:
1.550" dual springs
Spring Specs: 1.550": 200 lbs. @ 1.900", 480 lbs. @ 1.200", coil bind @ 1.150", max lift @ .700"

I have a 610 lift cam so Im not near the 700 max lift.

Thanks!

They are a direct replacement as GM no longer even sells the LS1 lifter anymore. But Im more lookin to the point of are they much stronger? IE will they handle my springs?
thanks!

That is a lot of spring pressure!Why such stiff springs if your not running a really high lift cam?IMO I would run a aftermarket lifter like Morels with those for sure-I would be afraid of a collapsed lifter with the LS7s.Hopefully someone more knowledgable than me will give you some input but I don't think the GM lifters were designed for spring pressures close to that.

Dur @ .050 232 int 240 exh
Lift. .595 int .608 exh
Lobe Sep 115.0
That's the cam. I don't know how to determine the lift at the spring. Is it just my lift in the cam multiplied by the rocker ratio? Or is the .608 exh lift already taking into account a ratio? I assume there is some conversion done least as the springs can only do .700 lift.

As far as the springs, they are what came withy the heads I bought here on tech. And looking at springs on different vendor sites they aren't anything crazy. Stiffer then the 918's but about the same as the higher end ones they sell. I hope I don't new those f'n motels. I hate how everything spirals outta control.

Thanks for the help!

Those lifts are at the valve, and probably using a rocker arm ratio of 1.7. That means the actual cam lobe height above the base circle are:

IN = 0.598/1.7 = 0.352"
EX = 0.608/1.7 = 0.358"
