i have that cam in my 408 but on a 110+1 . it has quite a bit of overlap and i have surge but with a better tune you might be able to get it alot better than mine is. maybe going to a sd tune would help also.

Where do you have surge? Is yours a daily driver?

For a daily driven car with 408 engine, I think that something in the high 23x and low 24x would be a better choice and it will still deliver good power

at low rpms and part throttle. a little smaller cam,say something like a 238/242 or 240/244 or so on a 112 or 114 might be quite a bit better about surge and be better for a dd and still make good power.

I'm running similar size in my 414. It's 242/250 on 114 lsa. Still working out the tune but there is some surge at part throttle. Definitely not my first choice for a daily driver.

Our 244/248 is a great cam with the correct setup, and with a good tune we have seen it in some daily drivers with 408 setups. What heads, trans (if auto what stall size), etc., are you using with your setup? Also, what are your goals with the car?

"Drivability" is really dependent on the opinion of the driver.
