Default CNC LS-6 heads

I am interested in recommendations for who would take my LS-6 heads and run a CNC program on them so that I could keep the factory look for warranty purposes. Kind of the stealth head program. I know these heads have to cost decent amount of money for the guys who sell you a set done with no cores like Patriot or TEA. Anyone have a price for getting this done, or an idea what would be a fair price for getting this done. After removing and having heads done I would want a stealthy cam, do you think the TR224 on a 114 LS is stealthy enough to not throw a red flag if I need warranty work?

As soon as you CNC any surface, it's going to change the appearance from "as cast" to a clearly machined look; dead giveaway number #1. The cam is going to have appearance issues too. If you don't want warranty issues, don't screw with it until it's out of warranty. Trying to blow one past the dealer and getting caught will flag you on future issues, assuming they don't yank the warranty on the spot. People tend to get pissed when you try to pull a fast one on them. Sorry, but thought it was worth mentioning in case you hadn't thought that part through.

Thanks Scott, however the CNC part is the valve bowl and port areas which you can't see if the motor is assembled. As well the cam is not visible either. maybe I didn't fully explain regarding the warranty issues. If the car has headers on it, it's obvious and can void your warranty on certain issues. What I want to avoid is if I blow the tranny, there is not a possibility they void my warranty because of modifications made, if they are all internal and not visibly apparent, I avoid the fight. Thanks again.

The cam and port work might not show unless the motor is fully disassembled but it is easy enough to see the springs. If it is any kind of engine work as soon as the pull the valve covers they are a dead giveaway. More importantly a 224 duration cam on a 114 lsa will be immediately heard the second you crank it up.

No problem. I understand what you're talking about now. The cam sound will be a problem, as XIII mentioned. On the CNC, I don't think the amount you're talking about is worth it, but it's better than nothing.

Anyone have any flow numbers to show how CNC'd LS6 heads would compare to a set of patriots or TEA's, they should be comparable in flow numbers I figure. How much hp would I gain just bolting on a set of stage 2 heads without any other mods?
