Default How do you install a G5x3 cam without cam card?

From what I've seen and heard, you don't get a cam card with the G5x3 cam from LG Motorsports. How and the hell do you properly install it? Am I wrong about not getting a cam card?

i think you should get a cam card with every new cam you buy,,, but i have heard that LG motorsports likes to keep there specs "top secret".... just install it strait up and then degree it with a degree wheel and dial indicator to find out what the cam specs are. you really should degree every single cam you put in wither it comes with a cam card or not

Or you could do a simple Google search and find the full specs of the cam They're just off the shelf XER lobes!

I always use the intake centerline method. The manufacturer should have no problem telling you the recommended intake centerline even if the rest is top secret.

Most LS cams I read about are between 108 to 112 Intake centerline. going to or toward 108 ICL will move the powerband lower in the RPM range while moving toward 112 ICL will move the powerband into the upper RPM range. Putting it anywhere in there should not be a problem unless you have some really tight piston to valve clearance. The exact recommended intake centerline should be your starting point though. Again, the manufacturer/seller should have no problem telling you that info.

With a degree wheel and dial indicator, you can see what the duration is at .050" lift, where the center of each lobe is, how far apart they are, etc

Or again, a Google search will tell you anything you want to know.

Put the cam in at 108 intake centerline and you'll be golden.
