Depends on what chain. If they wont clear then the chain maker should supply shims.

 

Most double roller chain sets include shims to space the pump out. But still be aware it is not uncommon to need to clearance the backside of that pump and/or the front cover! It is the responsibility of the installer to do this check before start-up, regardless of what anybody on the web forums says!
