Default HMM what to do?

Hey all, I just aquired a 80,000 mile lq4 6.0. It is going in a 86 firebird for a budget road course car. I want to keep it cheap so what would you suggest for mods? I got a ls1 intake and injectors gave to me so that's a start. Can I get away with the stock cam? It has the 317 heads also. I could use suggestions, I am going with headers, full exhaust and a 4l60e trans. Info will be helpful, thanks.

First off , I would only use the LS1 intake if it is a 2001 or 2002 as those 2 year intakes were the same as the LS6 intakes as far as internal dimensions . If it's not 1 of those years then I would use the truck intake as it flows better than the other years of LS1 intakes and will produce more low to mid torque . You can use the LS1 injectors with either intake using the rails that came with each intake respectively , just be aware that the cars and the trucks use a different electrical connector injector plug so depending on which harness You have and which intake You use You might need to change the connector plugs . As far as You're other mod choices I'm not that familiar with the car engines so hopefully some other poeple will chime in . Good luck
