Yet another pic a cam for me thread
Motor is in a 2003 4x4 s10
Motor is a 2004 5.3l Bored out to a ls1 bore (3.898)
All ls1 rotating assembly and COMP valve train
FAST 102 intake, I know its overkill for this but I got a awesome deal on it so i am going to use it until I build my 408 later down the road.
LS6 243 heads, lightweight valves and have the later casting with the triangles by the spark plug holes, virgin heads not cnc'ed or ported. I plan to keep these the way they are until later down the road but I can mill them to bump my compression a little. How much do you guys recommend milling them? Also what kind of head gaskets should i run? stock GM performance mls gaskets?
Trans is a built 4l60e with a 3000 stall
I'm looking for more mid to top end pull but not looking to sacrifice my torque down low.
Truck will mostly be a street truck with little track time, I had it going for 300 miles already but heads were 799's and a ls6 intake but I had to tear the motor down from internal problems so I would like to amp up a few things. I know the heads are close to the same but I got them for what I sold my 799's for so I figured what the hell right? I think that's it....Now lets hear some opinions!!!!
I have this cam now but it didn't impress me a whole lot.

Street manners aren't that important, but I do not want to fly cut nor do I have the tools.

EPS has the Truck Torque 2, or the LS 222/226:

or go with a custom cam grind.

im gonna call BS on this, it may have happened BUT 75% of the cams out there are ground by comp for other people and labeled as theirs. i had bennett racing do a custom stick for my 408w/101mm setup i had in my mustang and it came from comp. unless its direct from a cam company comp has alarge share of making them
