which heads

Default which heads

curious on which heads i have. the 241? or 803(or whatever it is)

i have 1999 TA A4 not a WS6

is only way to find this out to get my casting numbers n look by those?

There will be a casting number on the cylinder head that will tell you for sure. My guess is you have a set of 853 casting cylinder heads being that your car is a 99.

hmm yeap they are the 853. Im used to old SBC not these LS1 so are they **** heads? I know they arent as good as aftermarket(obviously) but how much better are the 241? would they be worth the effort for a budget upgrade?

A good budget upgrade would be the 243's...

Tsp has a big head selection i heard the 227cc heads are the most expensive but make great power.

Guys on here are pushing stock 243s to about 420 horses to the wheels. Im making 387 to the wheels with them.

All depends on your other mods....

The only difference from 853's is they a cast differently. Same ports...

243's in stock form are worth 15 or so over any LS1 head...

you can get 241s heads for $100,243s for $400.check the valve seats for leaks .I would get the 243s if you can ,with the right cam you can make 425+rwhp.
