ANYONE USING COMPS NEW LSr CAMS
Ive been looking around at cams and saw comp cams has these LSr cams and they look good. Short duration and high lift. Are they easy tune to and how do they sound. the 265 cam has 215/233 and 604/610 112. sounds like a torquey cam.

Like a 223/227 on a 114 LSA.....I bet that cam is 20 HP stronger than the shelf piece due to numerous reasons and still drives and runs great (extremely streetable with a slight burble at an idle).

I would do a custom with more intake lobe and less exhaust on a wider LSA.

Its not a Thumpr, you can tell by the LSA. There isnt any Thumpr's that are on a 112 or 114. They are always in the range of 107+5
Thats why Comp made LXL lobes, they are an exhuast lobe to help quiet valvetrain noise. Ive used LSR cams since they came out, from now on Ill do LSL/LXL lobed cams. (LSR cams use LSL lobes)

I'm using the LSL lobes on my cam (in my sig below) and it has proven to be a very good thing - with plenty of urge from 1500rpm up to the 6250rpm power peak, it gets my 4000lb car moving well. It works better than the last two cams I had with these heads - 223/227 @ 112lsa on LSK and LSL, respectively.
