7.4 is a fairly good place to start and seems quite common after a cam change. Be sure to follow the instructions in post #3 for best results... https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...s-too-big.html

Measure, I would change the lifters while you are in there and then MEASURE

How many miles on the engine? I don't think a lifter change is necessarily warranted if you have 50K on the clock; that isn't a tremendous camshaft.

If you haven't ordered it yet, did you consider the 228R? I love that thing.

If you use a pushrod length checker tool correctly, you will know exactly the length you'll need for your setup. You have too many changes to the stock setup to "guess" at a length. Measuring is the only sure way in your case.

DEFINITELY go with LS7 lifters!! the LS1 lifters are KNOW for collapsing, happened to me, you can hear it knocking in my old vids. the LS7s are perfect. they should just post a list on any stock TA before they come out to watch for.. the 10 bolt rear, and the lifters should be #1 fix

There's a saying...MEASURE once, cut twice; MEASURE twice, cut once. Words to live by with LS valvetrains.
