Question Hardened Pushrods Worth $100?

I'm having Comp 921s and a cam with .581 lift installed.. Worth the extra C note to get the hardened pushrods? Are LS1 and LS6 pushrods the same?

Yes, I would get the hardened push rods. TEA carries them and they were ~$85 so that might save you a few $$$.

If you car is an M6, yes...

If it is an A4...not really. I used my stock ones for 6,000 miles on a .580" lift cam and each one was arrow straight when I pulled them out...

I say no because what if yo miss a gear and instead of them bending them you will break something else it is easy to fix is you bend them froma missed gear

Doesnt it mean that you've eliminated a piece capable of protecting your overall valve train in the event of over RPM? After all, a missed shift causing bent push rods isn't that hard/expensive to fix.

With the hardened ones, what will be the first to go? Piston to valve contact b/o valve float? Broken rocker arms or studs. Sounds like it could have some negative potential. The OE ones work fine as long as you avoid the missed shift.
