What a shame. This could have been a very interesting discussion had it not been for a couple nutswingers.

i still find it interesting that no one apart from Mamo has flow figures for AFR heads.. has no one ever flow tested them and just takes his word on them?

Has your head porter's work been verified by an independant company? Or do you just take his word on it?

Google independant flow tests on afr heads. I did. Some flow better then advertised some flow a little less. That's all you had to do. Put a stock 853 head on your motor and see how it does compared to the afr. Other wise this thread is a waste of time.

in my eyes tony mamo has more experience with ls heads than anyone other thn mast motorsports, i know if i had top shelf money for heads it would be going to either of those two...

but if i can get a set of those hand ported 241s ill take them lol, just breaking *****

Had to mill the **** out of those 241's for that CR. Dang man, if you can do that with 241's you should put everyone out of business. Maybe even send Ai your secrets.

no secrets really... just a good tune up and boost... all done on 80lb injectors, HPT 3 bar os, C16 fuel and a power glide trans..

i was always worried about pushing water and on a 9in slick i wasnt keen on it sparying everywhere if something went wrong, hence why the thick deck heads went on when the car was 3/4 chassied
