Just got back from the machine shop he said it was misplaced and def does not belong to a ls motor.

im almost sure its the oil plug that's in the rear of the block right under the head if its a sbc or lt1 here is a pic for an example look at the white errow

No oil plug there on any factory LS motor...

It's prolly off a sbc from his shop he had a ton of them from the dirt track season.

Seen someone build a 6.0 without putting these in. No oil pressure at all. There are 1-2 of these plugs and they go in the back of the oil galley, you push it in the hole on the passenger side I believe

It looks like a set screw used in CNC tooling.

Nice find! although the head on the plug is different than the ones in the catalog. Im not sure what it is neither
