opinions on the .581/581 .224/.224 112lsa cam
I have 2000 SS Camaro M6. I have only few bolt ons...MAF, Lid, filter. how would this cam work for me. it's a whole kit w/ springs, push rods, ect. .581/.581 .224/.224 112lsa. i need opinions on this cam in a daily driver. should i look into a cam w/ the same specs only a 114 lsa? would that have a smoother idle? i don't want problems starting the car and having it stall. anyone have this cam w/ a basically stock setup like me, how is the drivablility of the car after the cam install.

If emissions are a concern, I'd go with a little less duration. Will a 114* idle nicer than a 112*? Yes. With an M6 car, though, it won't matter much unless you don't want as much lope. If you want lope, go 112. A .581 lift is going to be tough on springs and it may require you to change them at a certain interval depending on how hard you beat them up. Also, a .581 lift will generate more valvetrain noise than normal as a rule. This cam may also appreciate a good set of heads to really shine. If you don't want to do heads or don't anticipate them, you may want to go with a smaller cam. Just some thoughts for you.

Just installed this cam in my car, the car runs almost perfect, it idles fine and drives perfect around town. I'm just having trouble getting rid of ses lights but i do not think it has anything to do with the cam. I have a full bolt on car and the power gain from the cam was extreme. I am going to have the car programmed soon and will post the results from dyno and track results. If you have any questions about this cam or the install you can e-mail me at JessieViator@msn.com
