Default Opnions on Comp Adj. Timing set

Anyone ever used or had any experience with the Comp adjustable timing sets? They are not a conventional adjustable timing set and have an ob-long cam lobe type adjuster to move the cam plus or minus 6 degrees instead of moving the crank sprocket. I'm looking into buying one for my 370 cubic inch motor but want to know if anybody has had trouble or good results with the set. Part of me seems to think the cam sprocket may slip out of adjustment if the right force is applied at the right time. I will include a link to the instructions. Thank you for your time and responses!!!

Well if you plan buying a 2pc. timing cover and spending alot of time on a engine dyno and playing around with the camshaft centerlines to see what will make the best trq/hp for your engine, then yeah I would invest in it. If not, a JP Performance #5622T(LS2) will do your engine just fine.

I have the 3153KT in my engine, and so far no issues at all. I bought the motor with it already installed.

Thanks guys, I need to retard the cam timing due to a compression ratio change. The camshaft will build too much dynamic compression and detonate. Anyway, Thats why I need an adjustable timing set, otherwise I would run a stock replacement or a standard double roller, although I have a stock timing chain on a 630 rwhp 6.0 thats holding up just fine LOL.

I've had a similar Comp 6* adjustable set in since about the summer of 2006. No problems so far. Never really needed it, but I figured it'd be good to have.
