5.3 gasket set question/LS1 intake
5.3 gasket set question/LS1 intake picking up a truck 5.3 for the LS swap into my thirdgen Z. the guy has a new complete gasket set that he will sell me for $100. I will be needing to put on an LS1/6 intake, fbody water pump/oil pan/manifolds, and i am sure will pull the valve covers at least to check things out and prob do a cam change with springs too. so, since this gasket kit is sold as a "4.8/5.3/6.0 kit", can I assume that the intake gasket will work with my proposed intake swap? I figure the other stuff should work (oil pan and other stuff).
the intake gaskets wont work. the ls1/6 gaskets sit in the intake while on the trucks you set the intake on them, if that makes any sense. the oil pan, water pump, valley cover, timing cover, manifold, valve cover, and throttle body gaskets will work but i know the intake ones wont work, they are just a different design
